Shangri-La Hotel Present a Heartwarming Festive Season Celebration

To kick start the festive season, guests will be greeted by an enchanting Christmas décor as they walk into the hotel lobby.  Lobby Lounge will be brightened with gleaming ornaments from a six-metre Gingerbread Christmas tree and Gingerbread decorations will round up the entire area, creating a heart-warming ambiance to share with loved ones.


As the New Year approaches, the hotel will be adorned in an enchanting traditional Indonesian décor and bid 2015 goodbye with an array of fun games and lively entertainment.  Before the New Year countdown, guests can enjoy a delightful performance by a big band and watch endearing traditional Indonesian dance performances.


An intimate Christmas Eve Dinner will take place at SATOO, Shang Palace, Nishimura, Rosso and Lobby Lounge, priced from Rp. 248,000++ to Rp. 698,000 ++ per person.  Those who prefer to have a day fare can have a Christmas Day brunch filled with the holiday’s favourite delicacies at the same restaurants for Rp. 238,000++ to Rp. 638,000++ per person.


Five of the hotel’s restaurants take part in the merriment with exceptional menus specially made for the occasion.  Guests can indulge in a wide assortment of delicacies from SATOO’s special New Year’s dinner buffet for Rp. 848,000++ per person or an exclusive dinner buffet at Rosso for Rp. 948,000++ per person, delve in at Nishimura from Rp. 528,000++ per person or welcome the New Year with a taste of the Orient with Shang Palace’s New Year’s buffet for Rp. 848,000++ per person.  Those who prefer a more-groovy ambiance to dine in can enjoy a four-course New Year’s Eve dinner at B.A.T.S. for Rp. 595,000++ per person.


The hotel also offers a special holiday package from Rp. 1,950,000++ to Rp. 1,488,000++ per night for a minimum of three nights.  The package includes breakfast for two persons, 20 per cent off spa and massage treatments at CHI, The Spa and 20 per cent off food at Shang Palace and Rosso with terms and conditions applied.


The “Stay & Dine” package is available for guests who want to experience five-star accommodation and celebrate the New Year at the hotel.  This ultimate comfort starts at Rp. 4,588,000++ per room, per night with breakfast for two persons and complimentary access to the New Year’s Eve dinner feast for two persons.


To spread the warmth of the jolly season, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta provides a selection of beautifully packaged hampers with various products ranging from sweets, chocolates, artisan bread to a bottle of champagne.  The hampers come in four different variants and are available from Rp. 648,000++ to Rp. 2,788,000++.


The joy of the holidays will continue with Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta’s attempt to decadently break a Guinness World Record™.

The hotel’s Executive Chef Marc Cibrowius and Executive Pastry Chef Mathias Dusend will join forces in preparing a 555-metre Christmas Fruitcake.  Made with over 345 kilograms of flour, 392 fresh eggs and 310 kilograms of butter, it will be the longest Christmas Fruitcake ever created in the world.  Guests can see this ground-breaking delight when it is displayed in the lobby and at Lobby Lounge right after the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.


This decadent delectation will be sold to the public and the proceeds will go to Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI)/Indonesian Care for Cancer Kids Foundation as part of the hotel’s aim to foster the spirit of giving.


As a token of appreciation for guests, the hotel will prepare an exclusive wish card with gift selections ranging from gourmet dining, spa treatments to luxurious stays in one of the suites.  Guests can simply buy the wish card, fill the gift selection and hang it on the Christmas tree at SATOO, Rosso, Nishimura, Shang Palace, B.A.T.S. and Lobby Lounge.  On 14 January 2016, the hotel will pick the lucky winners who will receive their wish.  The money raised will go to the hotel’s beneficiary, SMPN 181, Bendungan Hilir.
